Surprisingly, this smoothie was TASTY!
Here's the made-up concoction: Whey protein, splash of soy milk, large hanful of spinach, wheat germ, ground flax seed, 1/2 c. applesauce, strawberry banana yogurt, 1 t. honey, and 1/2 c. pineapple chunks.
So... why did I drink this for breakfast this morning?
I, Kelly Clark, the same person who hates running, am running to prepare for a 5k in June!!! Can you believe it? I can't. I ran this morning while Justin was getting ready for work, and I made my weekly goal. Hard work! Each week we have a .5mi increment increase in our distance. I'll be at the 3.1 mile distance by the first week of June! May not sound like a big deal to some runners, but to someone who hasn't liked running in the past, it's AWESOME!
