Growing up, I worked for our neighbors in their flower gardens. Mrs. Sponaugle always had Hollyhocks, which were not my favorite flower. Each week, I had to make sure the dead leaves were removed, and it was just one of those aspects of the job that I did not enjoy. The funny thing... I ordered Hollyhocks for my gardens last year. :) I thought I ordered RED Hollyhocks, but look at these pics. BLACK?!
Pretty but totally not expecting this color...
There's a slight hint of color, but not much. In person, these flowers look almost the same color of eggplants, and they're taller than me.
